About the Lagerlöf family association
Denna information finns också på svenska
Lagerlöf family association was founded in 1935 on the initiative of Selma Lagerlöf (1858-1940), Carl Lagerlöf (1878-1961), Karl Lagerlöf (1890-1978), Nils Lagerlöf (1895-1970) and Sven Christian Lagerlöf (1911-1961).
The purpose of forming the family association was to ‘create a body for safeguarding of the family’s memories and interests and to maintain and strengthen the bonds between the members of the family, as well as to be able, if necessary, to provide support for individual members of the association.’
The first family meeting took place in July of the same year, and since then an important and recurring feature of the association’s work has been to organise regular family reunions. Over the years, there have been 28 different family reunions, both regular and extra.
